Forging flange production process flow

The forging process is generally composed of the following processes, namely, selecting high-quality billets for blanking, heating, forming and cooling after forging. The forging process includes free forging, die forging and film forging. In production, different forging methods are chosen according to the size of forging quality and the quantity of production batch.

Free forging has low productivity and large machining allowance, but the tools are simple and versatile, so it is widely used for forging single pieces with simple shape and small batch production. The free forging equipment includes air hammer, steam - air hammer and hydraulic press, which are suitable for small, medium and large forging parts respectively. Die forging high productivity, simple operation, easy to achieve mechanization and automation. The precision of die forging parts is high, the machining allowance is small, and the fiber structure distribution of forging parts is more reasonable, which can further improve the service life of parts.
